It’s likely to be a battle of backup QBs between these two AFC playoff hopefuls in Cleveland on Sunday. Joe Flacco is expected to start for the second straight week for the 7-5 Browns, while C.J. Beathard will fill in if Trevor Lawrence is unable to play for the 8-4 Jaguars. Flacco is the fourth quarterback to start a game for the Browns this season.Â
The 38-year-old looked good in his first start in Los Angeles in a loss to the Rams last week. It would be the first start for Beathard this season, who has seen little action backing up Lawrence until the Jags’ starting quarterback suffered a high-ankle sprain during the team’s loss last week on Monday Night Football.Â
The Jaguars and Browns kick off in Cleveland at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) on CBS. We’ll show you how you can watch, even if the game isn’t available on your local CBS channel.
